Webjet App: Great For Booking and Tracking Travel

I have new app on my phone that I love: Webjet. It’s simple to research and book flights, hotels and rental cars with this app. You can do it all from your phone. For someone who travels as much as I do, it’s nice to have an easy way to book even more travel even when I’m already out and about.

The flight search is simple and easy to use. It has all of the features you’d expect from a flight search function like round trip, one way and multi-city. You can book tickets for as many people as you like in economy, first class, whatever you choose. It saves recent searches. It’s intuitive and simple. There’s nothing spectacular here, it just does what it is supposed to do and does that well.

When it comes time to travel, you can check in for flights on some airlines in the app. I haven’t had the chance to test this out yet, but it’s nice to know the feature is available.

The hotel function is just as intuitive and simple as the flight function. One thing it does that I haven’t found in other apps is offer you the option to sort by cost per night or the total cost for all nights. I always want to know the total cost for all nights when I’m planning a trip. It’s too easy to go over budget if you just look at the per night cost. You can feel like you’re getting a great deal and blow your budget if you don’t calculate the total up front. The sort function in the Webjet app keeps me from getting my heart set on staying in hotels I can’t afford.

Much of the information in this section (and perhaps all of it) is from TripAdvisor.

Again, simple and intuitive. It’s easy to book a car for the dates you need. Once you’ve selected the care you can easily add extras like infant seats, GPS or a ski rack with just a few taps on your phone.

You could book just a car, just a hotel, just a flight, a couple of those or all three in the Webjet app. All of the information about your reservations is stored in the app under My Trips.

Additional features

In addition to booking my own flights with this app, I can follow my friends and family around the world with the flight tracker. I love keeping track of who is going where and when they arrive or depart. All you need is the flight number or the date and departure city to find the right flight to track.

Finally, you can also read the Webjet travel blog without leaving the app. Today I read about street art around the world and the best airports to sleep in. It’s fun and useful.

If you think that the Webjet app would help you in your travel planning, you can get it here.

Disclaimer: Webjet asked that I review their app but as always, all opinions are my own.
